Energoprojekt knows no boundaries 29-07-2010
SERBIA Serbian engineering group Energoprojekt Holding, via its Energoprojekt Visokogradnja company, has signed a EUR 14 mln deal for the construction of a residential complex and a winery in Kazakhstan. The contract was signed with Kazakh investor Caspian Food. The complex and the winery will be located in the town of Saryagash, in the south of the country, with its completion scheduled for October 2011. (Source: www.seenews.com) 


Time for something new 29-07-2010
CZECH REPUBLIC Passerinvest Group has started the construction phase for its Residential Park Baarova project in Prague 4. Around 30 pct of the 139 apartments have already been sold. The work is to take 16 months. The CMC architectural studio is responsible for the architectural concept of the estate, the general contractor is PSJ and UniCredit Bank is providing the finance. In September Passerinvest Group is due to complete the Filadelfie tower project, also in Prague. Construction work on the 17-storey building began in May 2008. The design was prepared by the DaM architectural studio. Filadelfie offers 30,000 sqm of office space. 


Skanska secures Wrocław plot 29-07-2010
POLAND Skanska Property Poland has acquired a 5,800 sqm construction site on ul. Szczytnicka in Wrocław. The company has yet to reveal yet its plans for the site. Currently the firm is waiting for the development plan for the site to be changed so that it can start the process for obtaining a building permit. So far Skanska Property Poland has developed one office building and the city and is currently constructing Green Towers, an office park project on ul. Strzegomska in the city.





City Apartments already on sale 29-07-2010
POLAND Robyg has launched the advance sale of the second stage of the Warsaw residential project City Apartments, located in the district of Żoliborz. A total of 230 apartments are planned in this phase, with areas ranging from 40 sqm to 120 sqm, with the construction work to start in Q3 or Q4 of this year. Prices per sqm start at PLN 7,750. The building will be equipped with environmental protection solutions, including roof-mounted solar panels to heat water. The developer will also install a system for collecting rain water that will be used for cleaning and watering plants. The design of the building has been created by the Atelier 3 Girtler & Girtler architectural studio.


Straight to the point 29-07-2010
SERBIA ImmoPoint is to open its 10,000 Point shopping centre in Belgrade’s Kaluđerica district in September. The scheme, containing 34 stores, features (among others) a post office, a bank and a Mercator supermarket, which will occupy 1,775 sqm of retail space. A car park for 90 vehicles will be available for customers. An OMV petrol station has also been planned close to the mall.



Looking to lease Gdańsk stadium 29-07-2010
POLAND A consortium made up of Lechia-Operator, Sportfive and HSG Zander has submitted documentation to BIEG 2012 as the first stage of the tender for the lease of the PGE Arena stadium in Gdańsk, which is being built for Euro 2012. Maintenance costs for the facility are likely to amount to app. PLN 10-12 mln per annum, plus PLN 2 mln net in rent and a fee of 5 pct of the total revenue. The consortium was the only entity that has entered the tendering process. A ten-year tenancy contract should be signed by the end of July. The first match is expected to be played at the stadium in the summer of 2011.


Age-old station to be converted 29-07-2010
POLAND The Kraków real estate management department of the PKP has announced a tender to select a contractor for the modernisation of Krzeszowice railway station, which was built in 1893. Construction work is due to start in September this year and to completed in May 2012. The costs of the project are estimated at PLN 3.3 mln, funds for which are to come from the state budget and from PKP’s own resources. The scope of work will include: installation of solar panels, new doors and windows, adjusting the building for the needs of the handicapped and the construction of a car park.


Estate with a botanical view 29-07-2010
POLAND Monday Botaniczna SKA, a subsidiary of Monday Development, has concluded an investment contract with an industry investor over the construction of the Projekt Botaniczna residential estate. The size of the complex, which is to be built near the Botanical Gardens in Poznań, will be announced after the architectural concept has been approved. The launch of the construction work is planned in the next 12 months, with the project should be completed by 2013.


DSV Solutions to move to Panattoni Park Czeladź 29-07-2010
POLAND Logistics company DSV Solutions is to move from Sosnowiec to the Panattoni Park Czeladź complex. It will occupy an area of 5,000 sqm in this project, whose developer is Panattoni Europe. The tenant has concluded a five-year leasing contract. The new warehouse will be used by companies such as Kärcher, Red Bull, Barentz, Trelleborg and Vulcascot. Thanks to additional docking bays, the warehouse in Czeladź will also become one of the biggest handling terminals used by the sister company in the freight forwarding industry – DSV Road. Eventually, Panattoni Park Czeladź will have an area of 44,650 sqm. The developer has already built a 15,000 sqm hall, and has a second warehouse of 20,000 sqm currently under construction.


Jartom helping to find space 29-07-2010
POLAND Edelmann Poland, with the assistance of the Jartom agency, has leased a production hall with an office and social space in the Millenium Logistic Park in Pruszków. The ten-year lease contract is for an area of 7,000 sqm. Jartom have also found space for Tamex, which is involved with the design, construction and furnishing of sports facilities. The leased area is 1,500 sqm in a high storage hall located in Łazy near Warsaw and belonging to Norton. In addition, Totalizator Sportowy has leased a new warehouse for the filming of Lotto draws. The company will be occupying an area of app. 1,000 sqm in the Żerań Park II complex in Warsaw’s Białołeka district.
